Hiram Norton was born in 1806 to John Sweet and Alpha Lewis in Canada. The family resided in Leeds County, Canada West (Ontario), Canada in 1807. Hiram never left Canada during his life in this world.
Hiram married Hannah A. around 1833 to my belief in Canada. Finding Hannah's surname would be a thrill to have to following that part of the family line. They had 7 children: Marshall Norton, Zebulon Jesse, Laura Jane, Malissa, John Fredrick, Murat "Merrit" H., and Julia.
In the 1851 Canadian Census Hiram was a Carpenter up until his death in 1903. He is bured at Baptist Burying Ground in the Rear of Leeds, Canada.

Clarissa Sweet (1805-?)
Clarissa Sweet was born in Canada to John Sweet and Alpha Lewis in 1805. The family resided in Leeds & Landsdowne, Rear of Leeds Twp., Ontario, Canada in 1807.
In 1816, at the age of 11 my research has lost Clarissa. I have done a bit of research online but come up empty handed, as female's are hard to track.

Abijah Sweet (1804-1889)
Abijah Sweet is my 3rd Great-Grandfather born to John Sweet and Alpha Lewis. Most of my research has Abijah born in 1804 but I have also seen 1803. I would love to get a fact on the exact date he was born. The family resided in Canada in 1807.
Canadian Census reports show Abijah residing with his family from 1807-1816 in Leeds & Landsdowne, Rear of Leeds Twp., Ontario, Canada. At the age of 39 he resided in South Crosby, Leeds, Ontario, Canada.
Abijah married Mariah Rhodes approximately 1832 and they had 7 children: Nicholas Lewis, Mehitable, Sylvester Emery Perry, Alba "Alby" Sylvester, John M., George Augustus, and Scott.
In 1844 Abijah migrated to Wisconsin with his two brothers Elijah and John Fredrick and stayed in Wisconsin up to his death.

William S. Sweet was born in New York to John Sweet and Alpha Lewis in 1800. William was 7 years old when he resided with his family in Leeds & Landsdowne, Rear of Leeds Twp., Ontario, Canada in 1807 to 1816.

John Fredrick Sweet was born 1798 in New York to John Sweet and Alpha Lewis. He resided with his parents when they moved to Canada between 1800-1807 to 1811 in Leeds & Landsdowne, Rear of Leeds Twp., Ontario, Canada.
In 1844 to migrated to Wisconsin with his brother, Elijah "Eli" Taylor.
John is another secretive person that is hard to find any information. I thought that maybe he might have a land patent in Wisconsin, but could not find any information. Any new leads that I can find from others would be very welcomed.

Anna Sweet (1797-1857)
Anna Sweet was born in New York the 28th of February 1797 to John Sweet and Alpha Lewis.
In 1807 Anna was residing with her family in Leeds & Landsdowne, Rear of Leeds Twp., Ontario, Canada and stay in residence of Canada up until an 1850 Census.
Anna married Jehiel "Hiel" Sliter in November 1815 in Leeds, Ontario, Canada. They had 10 children: Pamela, Washington Lee, Cynthia, Alzina, Joel, Spencer Percival, Emily Minerva, Alonzo, Ernestus Chester, and Estella Ophella.
Census records of 1850 show Anna residing in Queensbury, Warren, New York, but in 1857 she was back in Leeds, Ontario, Canada upon her death the 27th of April 1857. Anna is buried at Baptist Burying Ground, Rear of Leeds, Ontario, Canada.

Elijah Taylor Sweet was born to John Sweet and Alpha Lewis on the 10th of May 1790 in New York.
I want to stress again that there is an article on the Internet that he was born in Oswego, Oswego County, New York. This is a false fact at the time of his birth, as Oswego was not a town in that time period. It may have been when the article was written for the magazine then circulated on the Internet. I lost my notes, but I found this out at the Genealogy Library when Oswego became a town.
Elijah resided with his family to Leeds & Landsdowne, Rear of Leeds Twp., Ontario, Canada in 1807 and remained a resident until 1843.
He married Emma Ann Sly in 1817 and they had 6 children: Lydia, Elijah Judson, Arnold Lewis, Myron, Hiram, and Ella.
In 1844 Elijah and his immediate family moved to Wisconsin. Records show them living in Dayton, Green Lake, Wisconsin in 1860 and in 1861 residence in Portland, Dodge, Wisconsin when Elijah's wife, Emma Ann died on the 11th of November 1861.
I would be curious on the cause of death of Emma just because it strikes me that during that era women lived longer than the men unless there was something misunfortune.

On the 19th of October 1864 Elijah remarried to Fanny Knapp in Walworth County, Wisconsin. Their residence was in Town of Bristol, Dane, Wisconsin. The 1870 Census show Elijah as a retired Farmer up to the time of his death on the 31st of May 1885.
Elijah Taylor is buried at Sweet Cemetery, Town of Bristol, Dane, Wisconsin, which is located on County Hwy West near the intersection of Stone Quarry Rd and County Hwy West. Also known as Quarry Cemetery.
In the Sun Prairie Countryman, dated June 4, 1885 Elijah's obituary read:
The venerable father of Mr. Lewis Sweet died at the house of his son last Friday and was buried on Sunday. The deceased was ninety year of age and was one of the earliest pioneers of the state.
Eli T. Sweet was born May 10th, 1796, in the state of New York. When a mere lad he removed with his mother to Canada. After residing there for several years he emigrated to southern Wisconsin about the year 1840, locating first in Jefferson County and subsequently in Dane. For several years past her has lived with his son, A. L. Sweet on the old homestead in the Town of Sun Prairie, near the Bristol boundary. Four sons and two daughters survive him; of the former Elijah is the eldest, living near Reedsburg, Wisconsin. A. L. residing as aforesaid, Myron, of Bristol, and Hiram, recently removed from the Town of York, to southern Dakota. One of the daughters is a resident of Canada, the other of Northern Dakota. Up to a year or two ago the old gentleman was well preserved and remarkably vigorous and active, but for several months preceding his death was very feeble and almost helpless. Four score years and ten-truly a long and well-fought span.
Thanks to other genealogist who were a direct line with Elijah Taylor, I was able to obtain quite a bit of information on him, but I am sure there is more.
